Privacy Policy

Effective: May 22, 2026  ·  Developer: Dmytro Polokhalo

NYC Intel is a neighborhood intelligence app for New York City. We are committed to collecting only what is necessary to provide the service, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Information We Collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the app:

Data Sources

All neighborhood data displayed in NYC Intel is sourced from NYC Open Data, a publicly available platform operated by the City of New York. This includes 311 complaints, NYPD crime data, DOB violations, HPD violations, restaurant inspections, rodent inspections, and parking sign records.

NYC Intel is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the City of New York or any New York City agency.

Third-Party Services

NYC Intel uses the following third-party services, each operating under their own privacy policies:

Data We Do Not Collect

Children's Privacy

NYC Intel is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Data Retention

Push notification tokens are retained only while you have an active subscription and notification permissions enabled. Removing the app or revoking notification permissions removes your token from our system. We do not retain any other personal data.

Your Rights

Because we do not collect personal identifying information, there is generally no personal data to access, correct, or delete. If you have questions about what data may exist related to your device, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
